Used Clothing Program
Open subject to staffing availability. Currently Wed only (as of June 2025).
Our free clothing store is open to all Massachusetts residents. We provide free new and gently used clothing for adults and children. Clothes of all sizes, including seasonal and professional work attire, are displayed on hangers for guests to peruse and choose items from.
We are not accepting any new clients unless you are a Hopkinton resident, over the age of 60 or a Veteran.



The Free Grocery Store FOR ALL MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS
We provide our community with high-quality proteins, dairy products, shelf-stable dry goods, fruits, vegetables, beverages, sweets, and loaves of bread from local bakeries. Guests can walk through the store and pick their own groceries off the shelves. Bring 2 recyclable bags with you.
Visit once a week: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm or Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm. Senior hours (for those 60 years or older) are Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am – 10:30am.
Photo Identification and Proof of State Address are required. These must be recent physical “documents”. We cannot accept digital images displayed on your phone.
Please note that only one resident per home or apartment per week is permitted.

Hopkinton Food Pantry
We supply perishable and non-perishable groceries for Hopkinton residents, packed for curbside pick-up or delivery. We can deliver on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and 24-hour notice on delivery food orders is required.
Or you can visit once a week in person: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm or Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm.
If you are using the state pantry and the town pantry, you will have to follow the state guidelines which will require a ticket and a wait in line with other state residents.

Gluten-Free Food Pantry
We provide an array of gluten-free groceries for customers with dietary restrictions during normal business hours: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm and Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm.
Country Store
This new program allows our clients to shop weekly for essential toiletries and basic needed items – based on generous community donations. By offering choice, we aim to restore dignity and empower each individual we serve.

211 Emergency Program
Project Just Because does not provide gift cards or pay rent, mortgages, or bills through our 211 system.
We provide an array of household necessities to help individuals, veterans and families who have emergency needs as a result of a major crisis such as domestic abuse, natural disasters, house fires, transition from homelessness or re-entering after incarceration or rehab.
Please make sure you qualify for the program before filling out the form.

Baskets of Love Program
We create a custom care basket filled with small items (not including diapers, wipes, formula, clothing or gift cards) for new babies ages 0-2 months. We also provide cancer care baskets to those undergoing treatment.
Please bring a birth certificate for the baby basket only.

Birthday Program
As supplies last, we give a minimum of two toys and a birthday bag with party items such as decorations and cake mix for children aged 1-12 years old living in Massachusetts. Come to 77 South St. two weeks prior to your child’s birthday to receive the gift. A birth certificate or other legal proof of birthdate is required.

Valentine’s Day Program (February)
As supplies last, we provide gift bags for children between 2 and 12 years old who are residents of Massachusetts. For families in need, the gift bag includes an assortment of items like bubbles, stuffed animals, candy, toys, chalk or crayons, books, and snacks. Come to Project Just Because for assistance with these items. Please have proof of address when you pick up.

Easter Program (March/April)
As supplies last, we provide Easter bags for children between 2 and 12 years old who are residents of Massachusetts. The gift bag includes an assortment of items small toys, small stuffed animals, candy, chalk or crayons, books, snacks, and of course eggs! Come to Project Just Because for assistance with these items. Please have proof of address when you pick up.

Back to School Program (August)
As supplies last, we provide new backpacks filled with much-needed school supplies for preschoolers through seniors in high school who live in Massachusetts. Come to Project Just Because for assistance with these items.

Keep A Family Warm Program
As supplies last, we provide Massachusetts residents in need with winter coats, hats, gloves, and blankets for all ages. Our goal is to make sure we keep Massachusetts families warm during the winter months. Please have your identification, proof of birthdate(s) and proof of address available. Come to Project Just Because for assistance with these items.

Thanksgiving Program (November)
As supplies last, we provide many of the items needed for a Thanksgiving to remember to Massachusetts residents. Turkeys and other festive foods for Thanksgiving dinner are available in the Free Grocery Store the week before Thanksgiving. We are sensitive to the cultural differences in what makes a holiday meal, so we offer alternative choices for families that do not eat turkey or other items. We may be able to make accommodations for those that do not have the place to store these items. Come to Project Just Because for assistance with these items.

Holiday Program (December)
For children who reside in Massachusetts, we try to provide an assortment of holiday gifts for children from one month, up to age 18.
