Year-Round Programs

The Free Grocery Store FOR ALL MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS

We provide our community with high-quality proteins, dairy products, shelf-stable dry goods, fruits, vegetables, beverages, sweets, and loaves of bread from local bakeries. Guests can walk through the store and pick their own groceries off the shelves.

We now provide a large rotating selection of pick-your-own farm-fresh produce at the Free Grocery Store Farmers Market.

Visit once a week: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm

Upon first visit, please bring identification.

Hopkinton Food Pantry

We supply perishable and non-perishable groceries for Hopkinton residents, packed for curbside pick-up or delivery.

Visit once a week: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm

No lines or waiting if you are using the Hopkinton town pantry. If you are using the state pantry, you will have to follow the state guidelines which will require a ticket and a wait in line with other state residents.

Used Clothing Program

Subject to staffing availability.

We provide free new and gently used clothing for adults and children. Clothes of all sizes, including seasonal and professional work attire, are displayed on hangers for guests to peruse and choose items from. All residents of Massachusetts can shop in our clothing store. All items are free of charge.

Gluten-Free Food Pantry

We provide an array of gluten-free groceries for clients with dietary restrictions.

211 Emergency Program

We provide an array of household necessities to help individuals and families who have experienced a crisis such as domestic abuse, natural disasters, house fires, transition from homelessness or incarceration.

Basket of Love Program

We create a custom care basket wrapped and filled with small gifts for new babies or cancer treatments.

Birthday Program

We give a minimum of two toys and a birthday bag with party items such as decorations and cake mix for children aged 1-12 years old. Come to 77 South St. a few weeks prior to the child’s birthday with their birth certificate to receive your gift.

Seasonal Programs

Valentine’s Day Program (February)

We provide gift bags for children up to age 12. The gift bag includes an assortment of items like bubbles, stuffed animals, candy, toys, chalk or crayons, books, and snacks. Come to PJB for assistance with these items.

Easter Program (March/April)

Easter bags for children up to age 12. The gift bag includes an assortment of items like bubbles, stuffed animals, candy, toys, chalk or crayons, books, snacks, and of course eggs! Come to PJB for assistance with these items.

Back to School Program (August)

We provide new backpacks from which a child can choose and then fill with the much-needed school supplies that we offer. This program is for preschoolers through seniors in high school. Come to PJB for assistance with these items.

If teachers have provided them to the kids, please bring each student’s supplies list.

Keep A Family Warm Program (October-February)

We provide our clients with winter coats, hats, gloves, and blankets for all ages. Our goal is to make sure we keep local families warm during the winter months. Come to PJB for assistance with these items.

Thanksgiving Program (November)

We provide all the items needed for a Thanksgiving to remember. Turkeys and other festive foods for Thanksgiving dinner are available in the Free Grocery Store all month long. Come to PJB for assistance with these items.

Holiday Program (December)

We provide an assortment of holiday gifts for children up to age 18. No child should go without gifts during the holiday season, and we make sure that doesn’t happen.

Parents or guardians may fill out a request for the children in their households.

This program usually opens in the fall in has limited availability.
