  • For emergency food needs when Project Just Because is closed, you can always visit our outdoor food pantry open 24/7. It is located at 20 Church St in Hopkinton and operates as a small public resource free for any and all who need it.

Get Help

The Free Grocery Store

Once a week: Fresh produce, meats, bakery, dairy, dry goods, and other groceries. All MA residents can shop in our grocery store. All items are free of charge.

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm

No appointments needed. No IDs required. Please wear a mask while shopping.

Hopkinton Food Pantry

Once a week: Perishable and non-perishable groceries for Hopkinton residents packed for curbside pickup. Come to PJB for assistance with these items, Monday-Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm.

Gluten-Free Food Pantry

Once a week: Gluten-free groceries for MA residents. Come to PJB for assistance with these items, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:30am-3:30pm Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm.

Keep a Family Warm Program (October-February)

Once a year: Winter coats for children of all ages. Come to PJB for assistance with these items.


Once a week: Clothing for all ages. All MA residents can shop in our clothing store. All items are free of charge.

211 Emergency/Domestic Abuse Program

Basic necessities to help individuals and families who have experienced a crisis (such as a natural disaster, flood, house fire, transition from homelessness and the shelter system, recent immigration or incarceration, or domestic abuse incident) get back on their feet. Fill out a 211 Emergency/Domestic Abuse Assistance Request form here.

Basket of Love Program

A basket filled with basic necessities for special circumstances such as new baby, cancer treatments, and life transitions.

Birthday Program

A couple of toys and a book for children age 1-12 years old (and a limited supply of birthday bags with party items such as decorations, cake mix, etc.). Fill out a Birthday Request form here within 30 days prior to the child’s birthdate.

We cannot accept large item such as furniture, bicycles, microwaves, strollers, car seats etc. Please use our Furniture Network to offer these items to families in need.

Looking for things you can do to support PJB? We have service projects for individuals and groups.

We need volunteers who can commit to three hours every week on an ongoing basis. Have fun and help a good cause at the same time! Your time will be spent helping PJB to fulfill basic necessities for those in need. For more information, email
