Holiday Wish List Program

People Wishing To Sponsor A Child: Sponsorship Page

Children's parents contact us with basic items their child need and wish for: By sponsoring a child, you help make their wishes come true!!!

There are a few ways to Sponsor a child pick which ever is best for you, your company, your troop, your group and know what a special gift you are giving.

1. Go to the Sponsor Form page, choose a holiday package for a child in need, and fill out the form. Shop for the items you choose, drop them off unwrapped by December 15th at 45 South Street, Unit G, Hopkinton. Monday Through Thursday 9 am - 4 pm. Call 508-435-6511 the day you are coming to drop off items to confirm hours open as we have only volunteers. Then pick up a tax receipt at our office when you drop the items off. After we receive your form info we will match your sponsorship with a child and let the parents know their child has been sponsored. To serve the large growth of this program we have tried to give each child a Holiday basic package so that children who do not get sponsored can then receive Holiday packages by items we put together in house.

2. Buy 3 gift cards: 1 for warm winter clothing from any store, 1 gift card from a toy, craft, or Book Store, and 1 gift card for music, food, or sports store. We will then give these 3 gift cards to a child's parents so they can get their child 3 items for their Holiday with love and dignity.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    Are the donations tax-deductible?
Yes, all Holiday donations are tax deductible, Project Just Because, Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non--profit organization. Our TIN is 06-1728553

How much do I spend on a child?
This is at your discretion, but we do ask that you fill at least 3 wishes at a minimum from any basic Holiday wish list you choose.

Can I buy more than what's specified on the basic Holiday package list?
Yes, and we want you and your family or company to have fun.

Why do the gifts have to be unwrapped?
This is to preserve the dignity of the child's family, who often feel self-conscious about resorting to charity for their holiday gifts. The child's parents will wrap the gift, so that they feel included in the process.

Why a Warm Clothing Gift Card instead of just giving us the child's clothing size?
This being our 9th year doing this Holiday program the one problem that occurs is children's bodies sometimes are hard to fit and need to try on clothes this way making sure the child is able to receive a warm item of clothing the family in need can go to the store with the gift card with love and dignity and find that special warm clothing knowing they can try the items on. This makes for a very happy child giving them also the gift of choice. Having 4 children of my own 3 -11 years of age, I know that children enjoy picking out something special to keep them warm during the harsh New England Winters. We are trying hard to serve these very special children in need the best way we can.

Can my family or company or troop put in a note with the gifts?
Yes, any note, picture or card is welcome and will be given to the family this is welcome with all our programs year round!
